Workshop Description:

Learn how to create incredible jewelry designs with cast and embossed components. This is a perfect workshop for any Artist looking to expand their jewelry line. This class will feature thin-fired component casting with Colour de Verre’s Link and Bead molds. Jayne will show you how to prepare and fill the molds for a successful thin firing. She will also show you the color blending techniques to create color graduations to match the fashion trends or a favorite outfit.

Together with a new release and special firing schedule the castings will be smooth, light and free of sharp edges resulting in light-weight jewelry designed to be comfortable. You will also learn how to emboss beautiful patterns directly into your work. In this fun, hands on workshop you will learn the keys to timing and temperature in handling the glass and the embossing tools to create your most “imPRESSive” work yet. Jayne will cover several creative ways to join the links and components together to design a variety of professional and cutting edge looks.

Students bring: wire wrapping pliers (Miniature Needle Nose, Round Nose and Flush Cutters) and Magnifying Glasses (if needed).
